WHAT ABOUT SIDNEY SHELDON?

What am I supposed to tell you about this American writer? Should I make just an ordinary biography? I guess not. Well, but I think that it´s important to register that he was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Feb 11, 1917 and died on Jan 30, 2007, at the age of 89, and that he was considered one of the most famous writers in the world. Also that he was one of the top bestselling and the most translated authors, who have sold over 300 million books, in the world.
Besides that, Sidney Sheldon was the only writer to have won an Oscar, a Tony, an Edgar, and an Emmy Nomination:

The Oscar – 1948 – For his Best Writing, Original Screenplay: The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer.
The Tony* - 1959 - For his musical Redhead.
The Edgar – 1969 – For The Naked Face.
The Emmy - 1967 - For his I Dream of Jeannie.
During his long life he enjoyed three careers - a Broadway playwright, a Hollywood TV and movie screenwriter, and a best-selling novelist. But, among all his works, it´s known that Sheldon liked to write his books mostly. And, curiously, most of his readers were women. Asked about that, he said: “I like to write about women, who are talented and capable, but most important, retain their femininity. Women have tremendous power - their femininity, because men can't do without it.”
Sheldon struggled with bipolar disorder for years, as detailed in his autobiography published in 2005, The Other Side of Me.
